N° 19 R.D.T
I present to you "Der Wiedergeborene" (The Resurrected), a unique knife, number 19 in my "Renaissance des Tranchées" series, which embodies the resurrection of a relic from the past. This raw and authentic model is forged from the steel of a German 105mm shell found on the battlefield of Mort-Homme in Verdun, a land marked by the history of the 1916 battles.
This knife is not simply a cutting tool; it is a piece of history in itself. Its blade, imbued with hundreds of cracks and crevices, bears witness to its tumultuous past. Each mark, each scar reflects the metal that has survived the ravages of war. The steel, the only material used in its making, gives the knife a raw and powerful appearance, with a texture naturally sculpted by time.
Without a wooden handle, this knife stands out for its all-steel construction, enhancing its brutal and unique character. It is designed to be a collector's item, a tribute to history, even though its blade remains fully functional.
As with every piece in this series, "Der Wiedergeborene" is a one-of-a-kind work, accompanied by a detailed booklet explaining its origin and transformation. It is more than just a knife: it is a witness of the past, crafted with respect and passion for those who wish to carry a piece of history at their side.
